Hey guys,

So here it is...my first attempt at blogging.  It occurred to me...I love planning parties, craft projects and entertaining and have been trying to figure out the best way to capture all of the steps I go through, where my ideas came from and where it got to.  So...why not try a blog...

I think I am at my best when I am planning something fun or working on a new project.  It probably all starts with my obsession with Christmas.  I LOVE to have every inch of the house decorated (although we still have a way to go).  Each year we love to add to our decorations inside and out and now that we have a child we are so excited to see how Christmas will change!

I remember the first place Alex and I lived in, our 1 Bedroom condo in New Jersey.  Our first Christmas fast approaching and we had to get everything new.  We were hosting Christmas Eve dinner with a few family members and were so excited to create new centerpieces and design the table.  I must have rearranged things 10 times before our guests arrived! Although we had a great time and I received compliments on how lovely everything looked, I look at the pictures now and think...wow...the walls are very plain! :) What do you think?  Not bad for a first attempt, no?

That same Christmas was a few other "firsts" for me.  My first real Christmas tree was one of them!  I was so against it at first because I was adamant it would affect my allergies and that it would bring bugs in the house.  NEITHER of which happened!  Now I am hooked and the process of going out each year picking out our tree is something I look forward to.  Haven't chopped one down yet...maybe this year or next! :)  Love this memory of selecting my first ever REAL Christmas tree!

In the coming weeks as we get closer to getting ready for the holidays, I think I will do a blog on Christmas in general and some pictures we have of decorations we have added to our growing collection, Christmas traditions and Christmas with a baby!

So excited to share with you guys some of the upcoming projects we have coming up...Aubrey's first Halloween (and our attempt at a homemade costume) as well  as her First Birthday which is a birthday party/annual Christmas party combo.  We are excited about the them and I will be documenting how we are bringing it all to life! :)
